Fallen Angels Chester Community Recovery group

Fallen Angels Chester group performed for Her Majesty the Queen and HRH Duchess of Sussex at Storyhouse’s official opening.

Where: Garret Theatre, Storyhouse, Hunter Street, Chester, CH1 2AR

Who: Adults in Recovery from addiction and/or mental health challenges

Funded by: Chester Municipal Charities, Godson-Kendal CT, Sir Donald & Lady Edna Wilson Trust and Sanctuary Housing

2. Empowering Women through Dance

A socially engaged Dance Theatre project for women in recovery from addiction and mental health challenges. The focus on building confidence creating a message of empowerment for other vulnerable women.

Working in partnership with CSASS (Chester Sexual Abuse Support Service), and Storyhouse.  Funded by Tampon Tax fund through Cheshire Community Foundation

April – July 2019:

A group of local people in recovery from addiction and mental health are coming together, and committing to develop a performance for The Great Get Together event at Storyhouse on 20th June 2019. See Events for details of upcoming performances

Earlier this year the group were Reaching out and Raising Awareness, we met and moved with people in our local areas as well as at our home in Storyhouse:

Creative Conversations

This project saw 3 performance projects from November 2017- 2018.

With local people in recovery from addiction and mental health the groups performed at Storyhouse in public spaces and the Garret Theatre retelling their stories through dance theatre.

This project was made possible through Cheshire Community Foundation, Tesco bags of Help, Chester Soup Kitchen and Sheriff of Chester.

Active Minds Project: 

Members of Fallen Angels Chester group have shared their experiences of how dance has transformed their lives. With a focus on advocating improving your physical health, improves your mental health and well being.

The group will be peer leading:

Bags and Boxes Building Recovery..

Funded by People’s Health Trust, this project is about local people in Chester to support each other improving self esteem, confidence and reducing social isolation.

Pin Pricks of Light Cheshire Project:

This project focused  on improving health and well being, confidence and self esteem. Through fun activities in a safe space for exploring creativity.
