2. Empowering Women through Dance
A socially engaged Dance Theatre project for women in recovery from addiction and mental health challenges. The focus on building confidence creating a message of empowerment for other vulnerable women.
Working in partnership with CSASS (Chester Sexual Abuse Support Service), and Storyhouse. Funded by Tampon Tax fund through Cheshire Community Foundation
A group of local people in recovery from addiction and mental health are coming together, and committing to develop a performance for The Great Get Together event at Storyhouse on 20th June 2019. See Events for details of upcoming performances

Earlier this year the group were Reaching out and Raising Awareness, we met and moved with people in our local areas as well as at our home in Storyhouse:

This project saw 3 performance projects from November 2017- 2018.
With local people in recovery from addiction and mental health the groups performed at Storyhouse in public spaces and the Garret Theatre retelling their stories through dance theatre.
This project was made possible through Cheshire Community Foundation, Tesco bags of Help, Chester Soup Kitchen and Sheriff of Chester.
Members of Fallen Angels Chester group have shared their experiences of how dance has transformed their lives. With a focus on advocating improving your physical health, improves your mental health and well being.
